DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INDIGENOUS AND EXOTIC BREEDS OF COW
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INDIGENOUS AND EXOTIC BREEDS OF COW
Yes Desi Cow vs Jersey Animal
The indigenous breed of cow is easily differentiated by its hump and throat skin which are absent in exotic breeds. The desi breed such as Gir can reproduce up to 15 times whereas the American breed can only reproduce up to 3-4 times. The immunity of Indian cow breeds is high and they can resist infections along with other diseases that are common occurrence in Jersey or Holiestien varieties. The milk of pure Desi breeds is A1 type which is now laboratory proven to have antibodies as well as other essential proteins, fats & nutrients that are completely lacking or are present in much lower in content in foreign cow breed. The bulls of Indian Gir breed Cow are sturdy and have strength that makes them suitable for agricultural purposes but the bulls of exotic breed do not have these qualities, thus unfit for such field activities. Most important of all the difference is that the cows on Indian origin are beautiful in looks and they are full of loving emotions whereas the exotic breeds lack both these features. Being developed and reared in India these breeds adapt themselves very easily to Indian environment, on the contrary the American cow find it difficult to adapt themselves to Indian climate.
The above study indicates that Indian cows are better than all aspects as compared to American cow breed. Thus these breeds should be protected by all means if the world health is human concern in modern times. The slotting of these useful breeds is not only unethical but also sinful if earth and its ecological balance is to be conserved.
